It's probably best they keep their creature comforts, probably best they don't realize it's your creativity that keeps them from taking an early walk through Death's towering Black Gates.

Groundbreaking as your inventions are, they sometimes have some kinks that need massaging, and  your companions help buy you the time that innovation requires. But after the long and dangerous work of creation, there's no greater comfort for you than the flash of powder and sparks and the metallic ring of a gear clicking perfectly into place.
